frank glanz

born in 1949 in salzburg. after finishing school, he lived in switzerland, the federal republic of germany, and the united states. new york influenced him, but above all basel, where he came into contact with the world of anthroposophy.

after his years of traveling, he went through an apprenticeship period in salzburg: in 1975, he earned his master’s certificate and diploma as an interior designer.
his creative engagement with form and color in his work as a designer led him to painting. his first self-taught paintings gained recognition from the great master of “pittura metafisica,” giorgio de chirico, and in 1977, they were awarded the “premio nazionale per l’arte ed il lavoro” by the jury of the roman academy.

this was followed by exhibitions in rome, vienna, kitzbühel, munich, reims, zurich, innsbruck, klagenfurt, lyon, hong kong, and salzburg.
in 1991, frank glanz was honored with the promotion award from the “fondation pour la paix.”
